Crescent Moon is a very large viola with an extra-long neck (like the Giraffe violin) and a design that focuses on grace and elegance. The maple body has been bleached so that its color is very light; this complements the pearlescent shell finish, which subtly shimmers with a rainbow of colors under bright light. The bout insets are made of lacewood over purpleheart and are studded with blue lights; and the edges of the slender bout are protected by brass plates. The fingerboard features an ornate rosette pattern of swirling lights.
