Alien Intelligence features strobing green lights in the custom-shape bout, an alien head in the fingerboard (the eyes change from green to red when the violin is played), a scroll-mounted laser, backlit crop-circle designs on the sides of the spine, and a blacklight on the back of the spine that illuminates blacklight-reactive paint designs engraved into the inside of the silver shell (more blacklight-reactive paint designs are on the outside of the shell). A special button on one of the scroll protrusions serves as a secondary, momentary actuator for the laser.
